Grand Opening for City’s New Fire Station July 7

The City of Pueblo’s newest fire station will officially open for business with a ribbon cutting next Wednesday morning.

Grand Opening celebrations will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, for Fire Station #9. The station will be located at 4527 Surfwood , a relocation from its original Aster address.

Pueblo Fire Chief Christopher Riley has said that growth, especially in the El Camino and Regency areas, have made improving protection a priority.

The new station cost around $2 million dollars.
